Ante-natal
classes Ismet Metcalfe is running
classes for parents expecting twins. They're on a Thursday night at 7pm in
the Ante-natal Clinic of York District Hospital, and the next classes are on July

Music is a pre-school singing
and music-making group, based in York, aimed at families and childminders
with twins (or more) and children close in age. The idea behind MiM Music is to give both/all your children equal access to music in
a relaxed and fun way with like-minded people who won't bat an eyelid if
you're struggling to contain two or more excitable/crying children! Multiple parenting/caring can feel quite isolating at times, and
the guilt of worrying that one child is being given more attention than the
other can at times be crippling, so using a variety of musical techniques and
props, we have tailored
songs in our classes to suit two or more children. In addition, we offer an understanding of the difficulties and
joys of multiple parenting, so included in our 45-minute sessions is a chance
to chat/swap tips over a drinkwith other
parents/carers, as well as discuss local multiple-friendly activities, services and days out. We don't believe in forcing people to sign up to classes
for whole terms, nor do we believe it is fair to discriminate against
multiples by charging per child, so the sessions will run on a pay-as-you-go basis per family/group, (although the option to sign up for
longer-term can be offered if you prefer). A special deal for parents with twins and triplets.
